Without these individuals, the efforts of zoos to protect wildlife would be less effective, and we would not be able to achieve their conservation goals.

Zookeepers play a vital role in animal rescue actions, breeding programs, and engaging in species survival plans (SSPs) that boost the population of endangered species and reintroduce them back into the wild.

in addition to breeding programs, zookeepers also play an important role in educating the public on conservation efforts. They work closely with visitors, ensuring they embrace the significance of protecting wildlife and comprehending the role zoos play in these efforts. They work tirelessly to debunk myths and misconceptions about animals, building a greater understanding and appreciation for these magnificent creatures.

Zookeepers are responsible for creating a safe and stimulating environment for animals in their care. Through enrichment programs, they provide ample opportunities for animals to engage in natural behaviours and activities, which helps to reduce stress and promote overall health. By providing a habitat that mirrors their natural environment, zookeepers can help maintain the physical and mental well-being of these animals.
