WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE ZKAU PATRON

The vision of ZKAU is “To be a leading society for animal caregivers that advocates for capacity building, interconnections and conservation of wildlife in the region”. Our aim is to set up an ambitious and brave role for the future of animal welfare, conservation and the wellbeing of animal care givers. This vision calls for making our contributions through improved expertise in wildlife care, locally, regionally and internationally. This vision is guided by our objectives to:

• Promote professionalism among animal caregivers.
• Enhance animal welfare standards.
• Raise awareness and recognition of the roles played by animal caregivers.
• Contribute to wildlife conservation.
• Advocate for better wellbeing for animal caregivers.

The individual benefits of ZKAU membership vary greatly. Members attain; professional uplift, socio economic development (through tools like the ZKAU Saving and Credit Cooperative Society), career growth and opportunities to contribute to Wildlife Conservation.

Now is the time for ZKAU to become more visible and globally recognized to open more doors. I encourage all animal care professionals and affiliated persons to join and have partnerships with ZKAU to collectively make this vision a reality.
